Tidewater Roofing has an immediate opening for a highly qualified residential roofing service technician with eight years hands-on experience in roof installation and repair or related field.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Eight years hands-on experience in the light commercial and residential remodeling construction industry or related field.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with: Shingles, Metal, EPDM, PVC, TPO, & BUR.
• High School Diploma with some advanced training in construction management, business management, or related field.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills required.
• CRM/Project Management software experience a plus.
• A valid state driver’s license (in good standing).
• Must have reliable transportation.
• General good health and conditioning.
• Must have sufficient stamina to endure long hours at various tasks and be able to handle high stress situations.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk.
• Ability to climb ladders to inspect gutters and roofs as necessary.
• Excellent sense of balance and depth perception.
• Ability to lift weight up to 50 pounds as required.
• No unreasonable fear of heights displayed.
• Ability to verbally communicate with normal/correctable senses of vision and hearing.

Benefits and What to Expect From Us

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $60,000 – $100,000 annually
• Opportunity to earn more through Performance Bonus
• 6 paid holidays
• 5 days of PAID Time Off
• One week of PAID vacation after one year (Two weeks after three years)

Job Skills/Requirements

• Able to carry heavy materials up ladders and onto roofs.
• No Fear of Heights: Roofs can be very high. Installers need to be steady and unafraid of being in high places.
• Able to keep a positive mindset and be willing to help others on the job site.
• Able to accept instructions and follow directions to ensure a safe job site.
• Must have access to basic tools such as a drill and hammer. Tool purchase program available.
• A valid state driver’s license (in good standing).
• Able to lift 75 lbs. and climb up and down ladders to minimum heights of 25 feet.
• Able to work Saturday and/or Sunday, if needed.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Prior experience in construction or installation is a plus.

Job Skills/Requirements

• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
• Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
• Collect and report contact data to add to database for potential customers who would benefit from company’s products and services
• Promote the company’s products and services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
• Keep records of sales and revenue for tracking customer performance
• Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in marketing, outside sales, or business development
• Strong written and verbal communication as well as negotiation skills
• Superior organizational and time management skills
• Proven experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role
• Proven sales track record with the ability to build rapport and nurture client relationships
• Experience in customer support is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
• BS/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field, preferred

Location

Training to be completed in Hampton Roads area and Richmond
Job will be located in the Richmond area.
