What to Expect from Your Roof Installation
Even though we have installed thousands of new roofs for businesses in the Hampton Roads/Greater Richmond area, we ensure that we approach each job with an eye on the details.
We Start With a Quote
We quote your roof installation based on several factors:
- Safety
- The type of roof needed – whether is standard shingles, single-ply membrane, architectural shingles, metal, flat, etc.
- The size of the roof
- Structural and aesthetic requirements
- Drainage
- Access
- Removal/disposal of the old roof (if applicable)
To be as accurate as possible, we will come to your business (or the jobsite) to complete the estimate.
We Remove & Dispose of the Old Roof
With our quote approved, we then get to work. The first step is to begin removing the old roof. We complete the part of the process with care, ensuring that we do not cause any unnecessary damage to the roof, building, or surrounding areas.
Certain types of roof materials (particularly, metal roofs) can be recycled. If your roof is able to be recycled, we ensure that it recycled and disposed of properly.
Roof Preparation
Once the old roof has been removed, we prepare the area for the new roof to be installed. The preparation is outlined in your quote, including any underlayment, waterproofing, vapor barriers, and other prep-work needed prior to install of the actual roof.
It goes without saying that we ensure the preparation meets all appropriate codes and regulations.
Installation
We install the new roof per the process needed for the type, slope, and materials. We have worked on traditional sloped shingle roofs, flat roofs, metal roofs, hip roofs, and more; our roofers have the knowledge and experience needed to handle any roofing job you can throw at them.
We inspect the installation at different phases throughout the process as part of our Total Quality Management Program. This ensures consistent quality of work and a final result that you can depend on.
Final Inspection & Clean Up
Once the roof is installed, we perform a comprehensive final inspection to ensure that it meets all our standards. Thanks to our intensive Total Quality Management Program, the final inspection rarely finds anything that requires repair. However, if we uncover anomalies, we will get to work resolving them.
Once the roof passes inspection, we then turn our attention to clean up. We are careful throughout the build to make minimal mess, and at the end of the job, we are just as careful when cleaning to ensure that we leave your space as clean or cleaner than when we arrived.
